Brian Merz became the lead pastor at Summit Church in Boise, ID on October 13, 2019. Reverend Merz is no stranger to Mission Northwest or to Summit. He has served as the Youth Pastor, Adult Discipleship Pastor, and Associate Pastor at Summit Church over the course of 26 years of ministry with the congregation. He now continues his ministry with the church as the lead pastor. Brian has a strong passion in numerous areas. He is known for his strong biblical preaching and teaching. He is committed to overseas missions engagement through leading church-based mission trips. He has been a church systems designer while at the same time encouraging church based community outreach and personal evangelism through the Oikos methodology. Brian is married to Angie. In his spare time he skis and drives a vintage VW microbus.
